SuperGaming, a prominent Indian game developer, has announced a partnership with B3, an open gaming ecosystem developed by former Coinbase team members. This collaboration will enable SuperGaming to build its own GameChain, enhancing cross-chain interoperability and expanding on-chain gaming experiences for its community of over 200 million users.
SuperGaming’s GameChain: Unlocking Seamless Cross-Chain Gaming
The integration with B3’s Open Gaming infrastructure will allow SuperGaming to create a seamless gaming environment, where players can transition between games while retaining their in-game assets. This development also facilitates collaboration with other Web3 gaming studios and enhances SuperGaming’s in-game economies.
Saemi Kim, Director of Player1 Foundation, the governing body overseeing the B3 protocol, emphasized the significance of this partnership. “SuperGaming continues to lead innovation in the gaming sector. With NPC Labs’ technology and B3’s ecosystem, SuperGaming can deliver enhanced experiences while collaborating with other developers,” Kim said.
This partnership follows the success of SuperGaming’s latest release, Indus, an Indo-futuristic battle royale game. Launched in India in October 2024, Indus has already surpassed 6 million installs and received Google Play’s “Best Made in India Game” award for 2024. SuperGaming’s portfolio also includes MaskGun, Tower Conquest, and Silly Royale, all built on its proprietary SuperPlatform. This real-time multiplayer platform is also used by third-party publishers, including Bandai Namco for the mobile version of PAC-MAN.
Roby John, CEO of SuperGaming, highlighted the benefits of the partnership, stating, “B3’s technology simplifies blockchain integration, allowing us to cater to both Web2 and Web3 players. With our own GameChain, we can fully customize player experiences while leveraging Open Gaming’s shared incentives.”
B3’s Open Gaming Model: Transforming the Web3 Gaming Landscape
B3’s Open Gaming model has gained traction after its recent token listing on Coinbase. The ecosystem has already attracted several prominent studios, including Infinigods and the Echelon Prime Ecosystem. This model allows developers to benefit from cross-game player movement, with revenue-sharing mechanisms providing ongoing value for both original and new GameChains.
Daryl Xu, Co-founder and CEO of NPC Labs and a core contributor to the B3 protocol, underscored the user-centric focus of the platform. “Traditional blockchains were designed for financial purposes, often sidelining user experience in gaming. B3’s Open Gaming model prioritizes collaboration and creativity, providing developers and players with a more engaging ecosystem,” Xu explained.
Since its launch, B3’s ecosystem has recorded over 6 million wallets and processed more than 200 million transactions. The ecosystem’s gateway, BSMNT.fun, allows users to access multiple games with a single login, eliminating the typical complexities associated with blockchain gaming. The platform currently supports over 140,000 daily active players, highlighting the growing demand for blockchain-integrated gaming.
Through this partnership, SuperGaming and B3 aim to advance the gaming landscape by merging blockchain technology with user-focused game design while fostering cross-platform collaboration.
