Chinelle Henry played a sensational knock for UP Warriorz, smashing an electrifying 62 off just 23 balls to rescue her team against Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. She came in when UP Warriorz were struggling at 89-6 and completely changed the momentum with her brutal hitting.

The West Indies all-rounder launched an all-out assault on the bowlers, hammering eight sixes, including three in a row off Arundhati Reddy in the 19th over. She finished with a strike rate of 269.57, the highest for any batter scoring 50+ in WPL history.

Chinelle Henry’s Carnage in Death Overs

UP Warriorz were in deep trouble at 109-7 when Henry decided to counterattack. She unleashed her power in the final overs, clearing the ropes at will. Her stunning knock helped UP Warriorz finish at 177-9, a total that seemed unlikely at one stage.

She was eventually dismissed on the last ball of the innings, caught by Jemimah Rodrigues, but not before leaving Delhi Capitals shell-shocked.

Henry also created history by becoming the first batter to score a WPL half-century while batting at No. 7 or lower. She is now the leading run-getter for UP Warriorz in this edition, with an astonishing strike rate of 250.

Her fireworks have given UP Warriorz a fighting total, and now, it’s up to their bowlers to defend it.
