Ellyse Perry Becomes First to 800 WPL Runs, Claims Top Spot in Run Charts

Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has etched her name in the history books by becoming the first cricketer to score 800 runs in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). She achieved this incredible milestone during the match against UP Warriorz while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Perry played a sensational knock of 90 runs off 56 balls, anchoring the innings for RCB Women and helping them post a competitive total. This score is now her highest individual total in WPL history.
Ellyse Perry’s Record-Breaking Knock
Batting at number three, Perry showed her class with a fine mix of aggressive stroke play and calculated risks. She smashed nine fours and three sixes in her unbeaten 90-run innings, maintaining a strike rate of 160.71.
She came in to bat after the early dismissal of captain Smriti Mandhana (6 off 9) and built a crucial partnership with Danielle Wyatt-Hodge (57 off 41) to stabilize the innings. Perry remained unbeaten till the end, guiding her team to a strong total of 180/6 in 20 overs.
