The Champions Trophy 2025 is currently in its group stage. So far, there have been no complaints about Pakistan’s hosting. However, before the tournament began, there was a lot of discussion about India’s matches.

Due to political issues, India did not travel to Pakistan. Instead, all their matches are being played in Dubai. Many experts believe this gives India a big advantage because they are playing on the same ground every time, which helps them get used to the conditions.

Australian cricketer Pat Cummins also spoke about this topic. While talking to Yahoo Sports Australia, he said that playing in the same venue gives India a huge advantage.

He mentioned that India already looks very strong and now has the extra benefit of knowing the pitch well. Cummins is currently not playing in the Champions Trophy 2025 due to an injury.

Here’s what Pat Cummins said:

“I think it’s good that the tournament can go on, but obviously it does give them (India) a huge advantage playing on the same ground. They already look very strong and they’ve got that obvious benefit of playing all their games there.”

India has performed well in the tournament so far. In their first match, they defeated Bangladesh by six wickets. Shubman Gill played a brilliant innings and scored an unbeaten century to help India win. In their second match, they faced Pakistan and won again by six wickets.

Pakistan batted first and managed to score 241 runs in 49.4 overs. Saud Shakeel was their top scorer with 62 runs. India’s bowlers did a great job, with Kuldeep Yadav taking three wickets and Hardik Pandya picking up two. While chasing, India reached 244/4 in 42.3 overs.

Virat Kohli played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten 100 runs off 111 balls. Shreyas Iyer also contributed with a crucial 56 runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets, but it was not enough to stop India from winning.

With two back-to-back losses, Pakistan is now in trouble. Their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals are very low. After the match, their captain Mohammad Rizwan looked disappointed and admitted that their campaign is almost over.

India, on the other hand, is looking very strong in the tournament. With two wins in a row, they have gained momentum and will be confident in their upcoming matches.
