Mumbai hosted the grand finale of College Rivals Season 2, powered by Ampverse DMI, on February 23, 2025, at NESCO. The event showcased the growing prominence of collegiate esports in India. The tournament featured intense competition in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Valorant, with Mohd Ayazuddin (Spark_XT) from Christian Degree College, Lucknow, and Aditya Singh Rathore (Neko) from Amity University, Rajasthan, claiming the top spots in their respective categories.
BGMI Finale: Mohd Ayazuddin Emerges Victorious
The BGMI finale saw fierce battles among top contenders. Mohd Ayazuddin (Spark_XT) won the title and a prize of ₹5,00,000. Diptiranjan Rout (SRxRanjan) secured the runner-up position, earning ₹3,50,000, while Sandeep Gupta (Matguns) finished third with a prize of ₹1,25,000.
The competition featured a best-of-three upper bracket match, where Diptiranjan Rout initially defeated Mohd Ayazuddin 2-1. However, after falling to the lower bracket, Ayazuddin staged a strong comeback, defeating Sandeep Gupta 2-0 and reclaiming the championship title.
Valorant Finale: Aditya Rathore Clinches the Title
In the Valorant segment, Aditya Singh Rathore (Neko) outplayed Rakshit Rao (Bhalu) in a best-of-three final. Rathore secured a 2-0 victory, earning the top prize of ₹3,50,000, while runner-up Rakshit Rao received ₹1,50,000.

The finale attracted a large audience, blending gaming, live music, and interactive entertainment. Gaming Truck and Nationwide Engagement
Season 2 expanded significantly from its predecessor, with the Gaming Truck covering over 5,000 km. Nationwide qualifiers witnessed over 2 lakh registrations from 55 colleges across 22 cities, engaging more than 11 lakh students.
Interactive zones like the Spotify Fan Pit and PlayStation Zones kept attendees engaged. KREO’s Keyboard Typing Games and sponsor activations from Nissin Cup Noodles added to the experience. A cosplay contest also captivated the audience, with standout performances by Aditya Kalebere as Captain America, Sanskar as Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima, and Dara as Sakanji from Demon Slayer.
One of the standout moments was esports athlete Charanjot Singh winning a TVS Apache bike, further adding to the thrill of the event.
