Delhi Capitals Women dominated Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, securing a comfortable 9-wicket victory with nearly five overs to spare.

With this win, they have officially qualified for the next round and extended their lead at the top of the table. The Delhi dugout erupted in celebration, while their fans, though outnumbered by the home crowd, had plenty to cheer about.

RCB Women, batting first, posted 147/5 in 20 overs. Captain Smriti Mandhana fell early, while Wyatt-Hodge and Ellyse Perry steadied the innings. Perry remained unbeaten on 60 off 47 balls, smashing three sixes and three fours.

Raghvi Bist also contributed with a patient 33 off 32 balls. However, RCB struggled to accelerate in the death overs. Shikha Pandey and Nallapureddy Charani took two wickets each, while Marizanne Kapp picked up one.

Chasing 148, Delhi Capitals Women lost captain Meg Lanning early for just 2 runs. However, Shafali Verma and Jess Jonassen took complete control of the chase. Verma played a blistering knock of 80 off 43 balls, smashing eight fours and four sixes.

Jonassen complemented her well with an unbeaten 61 off 38 balls, hitting nine fours and a six. Their unbroken 146-run stand ensured a dominant victory in just 15.3 overs.

RCB’s bowlers had no answers to Delhi’s aggressive batting. Renuka Singh was the only wicket-taker, dismissing Lanning. The rest of the bowling unit struggled, conceding runs at a high economy.

With this emphatic win, Delhi Capitals Women have stamped their authority in the tournament, while RCB Women will have to regroup after a disappointing performance.
