Gods Reign Wins National Esports Championship – CS2 at Bengaluru GAFX 2025

Gods Reign, India’s top-ranked Counter-Strike 2 team, has won the Skyesports Souvenir 2025 National Esports Championship. The tournament was held at Bengaluru GAFX 2025 from February 27 to March 1 at The Lalit Ashok.

Tournament Overview

The tournament began with online qualifiers, where teams competed for a spot in the Main Event in Bengaluru. The four teams that advanced were Gods Reign, Big W, Victores Sumus, and Flashback Gaming.

The main event followed a double-elimination format. Gods Reign won all their matches with a 2-0 scoreline. They defeated Victores Sumus in the Upper Bracket Final before securing a Grand Final spot by winning against Flashback Gaming.

Grand Finals

In the Grand Finals, Victores Sumus faced Gods Reign again. The first match on Train ended in a win for Gods Reign. The second match on Dust II saw Victores Sumus take an early lead. However, Gods Reign closed the gap in the late game and won the match in overtime with a 16-12 scoreline.

After the match, Rossi Kiran from Gods Reign said:

“It feels great. I am happy to play on this stage. I hope there will be another tournament like this in Bengaluru, and I hope to win that trophy as well.”

Rankings Update

The Skyesports Souvenir 2025 was a Valve-licensed ranked event, which allowed teams to earn points toward global standings. Gods Reign moved from 157th to 76th globally and climbed to 8th in Asia.

Upcoming Tournament

At the end of the event, Skyesports announced its next Counter-Strike 2 tournament, the Skyesports Pro League 2025, which will take place in March. More details will be announced later.

With this win, Gods Reign has improved its position in the rankings. Their performance in upcoming tournaments will determine their progress at the international level.
