The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the opening match of IPL 2025 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on March 22. The match is set to begin at 7:30 PM (IST), and both teams will be eager to start their campaign with a win.

Eden Gardens is known for being a batting-friendly venue in T20 cricket. The pitch offers a flat surface with true bounce, making it ideal for stroke play. While not as flat as the tracks in Bengaluru or Hyderabad, it still favors batters more often than not.
