Riyan Parag’s Growing Fan Base in Assam

The incident occurred during the second innings while KKR was chasing a 152-run target set by RR. The fan, overwhelmed by emotion, rushed towards Parag, who hails from Assam, and showed his admiration by touching his feet. Security personnel quickly intervened and escorted the fan off the field.

Parag is the only international cricketer from Guwahati and enjoys massive support from local fans. His presence in RR’s playing XI makes him a fan favorite, especially when the team plays in his hometown.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals struggled with the bat, managing only 151 runs after being put in to bat first. At the time of writing, KKR has posted 51 runs on the board and is looking to chase down the target comfortably.
