Aniket Verma, the young Sunrisers Hyderabad batter, made a big impact against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the IPL 2025. Batting lower down the order, he smashed 36 runs off just 13 balls, hitting five boundaries before being dismissed by Digvesh Rathi.

His quick-fire knock helped SRH add crucial runs to their total. Aniket Verma is not a widely known name in cricket, but his talent speaks for itself. Born in Uttar Pradesh, he plays domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh. His aggressive batting style has made him one of the most exciting young players in the game.

In domestic cricket, Aniket gained attention for his ability to score big runs at a rapid pace. During the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) 2024, he played for Bhopal Leopards and smashed 123 runs off just 41 balls in a knockout match. It was the first-ever century in MPL history. He also scored a 44-ball 120 in a local club match, proving his ability to accelerate the innings.

His performances in domestic tournaments earned him an IPL contract with SRH for INR 30 lakh in the 2025 auction. Before the season began, he played a practice match where he scored 46 runs from just 16 balls. This convinced the SRH management to include him in their squad.

Aniket primarily plays as a middle or lower-order batter, perfectly fitting SRH’s attacking style. Along with Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan at the top, he adds depth to the batting lineup.

He can also be used as an impact player due to his explosive hitting ability. With his fearless approach and natural power-hitting skills, Aniket Verma is set to be an exciting player to watch in IPL 2025.
