Former cricketer and commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu took a dig at MS Dhoni after the Chennai Super Kings skipper came to bat at number nine against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at MA Chidambaram Stadium.

When Dhoni arrived at the crease, RCB captain Rajat Patidar placed a short leg fielder, reminding everyone of a similar field setup by Gautam Gambhir during a match between CSK and KKR a few years ago. Sidhu couldn’t resist making a remark on air, and soon, social media was flooded with comparisons between the two incidents.

RCB Dominate As CSK Struggle

RCB, batting first, posted a challenging total of 197 runs. CSK, despite winning the toss, struggled throughout their run chase. At the time Dhoni walked in, CSK had already lost seven wickets for just 107 runs in 17 overs, making the chase nearly impossible.

Fans reacted strongly to the situation, with many pointing out how rare it is to see Dhoni batting so low in the order. Memes and reactions quickly surfaced online, with some even questioning CSK’s approach in the game.
