Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) put up a strong show at the Wankhede Stadium to beat Mumbai Indians by 12 runs in the 20th match of IPL 2025. Batting first, RCB posted a big total of 221 runs for the loss of five wickets.

Virat Kohli scored 67 runs off 42 balls while Rajat Patidar, the captain, smashed a quick 64 off just 32 balls. Jitesh Sharma also played a brilliant finishing knock, scoring 40* in just 19 balls.

In reply, Mumbai Indians tried their best but fell short by 12 runs. Tilak Varma made 56 runs while Hardik Pandya scored a fiery 42 off 15 balls. However, they kept losing wickets in the end and were restricted to 209 for 9 in 20 overs. Krunal Pandya was the star with the ball for RCB as he picked up four wickets and stopped MI’s momentum in the death overs.

This was the fourth loss for Mumbai Indians in the tournament out of the five matches they have played so far. On the other hand, this is the third win for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in four matches, and they are looking strong in IPL 2025.
