Dream11 appoints Priyanka Kodikal as chief design officer

Dream11, one of the most prominent fantasy sports platforms, has appointed former WhatsApp senior executive Priyanka Kodikal as its new chief design officer.
Kodikal has previously worked in the consumer products division for WhatsApp to streamline user experience in core functionality like messaging, groups, calling, status, camera, and user interface. Prior to that, she was working as product designer for Facebook which is the parent company of WhatsApp. He has also had a one-year employment at Evernote, as reported by Techcircle.
On being appointed as the new chief design officer, Kodikal said, “I’m extremely passionate about building products that are intuitive and delightful to use. I’m excited to explore the world of sports tech and look forward to working with a great team to elevate the experience for our users.”
According to Harsh Jain, CEO and co-founder of Dream11, Kodikal will handle the advancement of the design team while also helping portfolio companies with their design execution and philosophy.
“We are looking forward to having Priyanka join us as our chief design officer. Her appointment aligns with our commitment to hire the best global talent and develop Mumbai as a tech hub,” said Jain.
Dream11 is arguably the most popular fantasy sports platform in India owned by Dream Sports which also has other platforms like FanCode, Dream Capital, DreamSetGo, Dream Game Studios and the most recent one, DreamX.
DreamX is the UPI service that is available for Dream11 players as an easy way to withdraw or spend their winnings. Other features include transferring money to other people, payment of bills, etc. The app is currently available to all Dream11 users.
As of now, Dream11 claims to have over 180 million registered users playing various fantasy sports available on the platform. The app for Dream11 is also among the top 10 most downloaded gaming apps in the Google Play Store.
