The Esports Club, a popular Indian esports body, recently announced TEC Arena Connect, a LAN even for Tier 2 cities in India. The tournament will be hosted in 12 tier-2 cities across the country and will feature a prize pool of Rs 3 Lakhs and in partnership with Alienware and Intel.

The tournament is set to feature popular competitive titles such as CS:GO, Road to Valor: Empires, FIFA, Mortal Kombat and more. Several popular creators and influencers will also visit the tournament.

As reported by moneycontrol.com, founder of The Esports Club, Vamsi Krishna said, “India’s Tier 2 cities present untapped opportunities for the flourishing gaming and esports industry.

“Recognizing this potential, we at TEC have embarked on a massive initiative with TEC Arena Connect. Our goal is to bring high-level gaming experiences to these emerging regions, fostering the growth of a vibrant gaming community right at the grassroots,” he further added.

Although, this is not the first time the event is taking place. The first TEC Arena Connect took place in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The inaugural CS:GO LAN competition was won by Ampverse-owned 7SEA Esports.

Popular gaming influencers like Payal Gaming, Tamil Gaming, MidfailYT, and others attended the event as well. The upcoming event will take place in Pune, Maharashtra on July 2.

Event like these are some of the most recent advances in the Indian gaming sector and provide opportunities from gamers across the country to interact and have a shot at making a name for themselves.

While the inaugural event in Coimbatore saw a huge success, it remains to be seen whether the upcoming events in Pune and ten other cities will have even bigger participation or not, since the esports and gaming industry has grown to leaps and bounds in the country especially after the COVID-19 lockdown.
