BMPS 2023 concludes with Blind eSports emerging as champions

Battleground Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 has concluded with Blind eSports taking home the champion’s crown among 16 teams live at the Eka Arena, Ahmedabad.
BMPS is the official BGMI tournament hosted by Tencent. This year, it featured a prize pool of Rs 1 crore, with Blind eSports taking home Rs 40 lakh after securing first position with 249 points on the leaderboard.
Following up close behind was Gladiators Esports with 221 points, who secured the second position and won Rs 20 lakh. The third position was secured by TEAM iNSANE with 176 points and close behind were Entity Gaming.
The event saw over 15,000 fans attending the finale. CEO of Krafton India, Sean Hyunil Sohn along with Head of Esports, Karan Pathak, Head of Strategy & Finance, Mibu Kim and Associate Art Director, Shyam Deshpande were also present during the Grand Finals.
Apart from the winning teams, Rudra “Spower” from Blind eSports won the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament award, taking home Rs 3 lakh in prize money. The best In-game Leader (IGL) award was crowned to Aditya “Aadi” Dawar from TEAM iNSANE with Rs 2 lakh prize money.
The event was a much-needed one for the Indian esports industry, showcasing the potential available for young people in the video game industry. BMPS was announced soon after the game was unbanned by the government.
Congratulating the winners, Pathak said as per ABP Live, “BMPS signifies our commitment to the growth of Esports in India. We are thrilled to see the passion and enthusiasm from both the players and our audience in Ahmedabad.”
