The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Mahadev App case has arrested Nitish Diwan, who was part of the core committee of the Mahadev App. On Friday, the ED presented Nitish in the Raipur court, where the court remanded him to ED custody until February 24.
Previously, Nitish Diwan was apprehended at Delhi Airport last year on November 6, but was released after questioning by the ED. Nitish Diwan is known for awarding prominent figures in the film industry at the IIFA Awards.
As reported by Nai Duniya, Nitish Diwan hails from Vaishali Nagar in Bhilai. Nitish got in touch with the founders of Mahadev in Dubai, following which he began working. Nitish used to oversee the accounts of the Mahadev App.
Through his work, Nitish earned the founders trust and became close to him. Subsequently, the founder appointed him as a member of the core committee of his black businesses. After that, Nitish ventured into the film industry with the founders brother, Gitesh Chandrakar, to work on film production.
Meanwhile, when the ED initiated action against the Mahadev App, Nitish name surfaced. The ED began investigating in Bhilai and discovered Nitish association with the founder in Dubai. Subsequently, the ED issued a lookout circular against Nitish.
The ED’s investigation uncovered alleged financial irregularities and money laundering activities linked to the Mahadev App. Sources suggest that Nitish Diwan played a pivotal role in these illicit financial transactions, utilizing his position within the core committee to facilitate the movement of funds. The ED is intensifying its probe to reveal the intricacies of this alleged financial fraud, signaling a deeper scrutiny into the operations of the Mahadev App and its associated entities.
