Mahadev App remains active despite ongoing investigation, branches distributed in 25 lakhs each

With the commencement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, online betting platforms have once again sprung into action. The platforms have started distributing IDs through websites, mobile apps, and social media channels. This has led to increased betting activities.
As reported by Patrika, bookies are distributing branches at rates of 25-25 lakh rupees each.
The fee for providing branches for online betting was 10 lakh rupees last year, but it has now been increased to 25 lakh rupees.
Several old branches in the capital have reactivated in light of the increased betting activity in the region. It is also reported that old branches in Raipur are selling new branches, which has resulted in the increase of number of bettors using the Mahadev app since the beginning of IPL cricket matches.
The operators of the Mahadev Satta App’s website which was previously blocked by the Union Home Ministry before assembly elections, have now created several new websites and distributed fresh links to their branches.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) are also investigating scams worth crores of rupees related to the Mahadev Satta app. On March 2nd and 3rd, the ED arrested Lotus 365 operators Girish Talreja, Ratanlal Jain alias Aman and few others were associated with Lotus 365, is still at large. Lotus 365 is linked to the Mahadev app.
The accused have been remanded by the ED. Based on the information obtained, the ED is conducting further investigations. Meanwhile, the ACB in Raipur has initiated the interrogation process with jailed accused linked to the Mahadev app case.
