Shubman Gill, the Indian captain, has come under fire for moving Abhishek Sharma, a centurion in the second T20, to the number three position to make room for himself to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal. 

Coming in at number three, Abhishek Sharma failed to make an impact in the third T20, scoring only 10 runs from nine deliveries before being dismissed. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill scored 66 runs off 49 balls, hitting seven boundaries and three sixes. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal, playing his first match in the ongoing series scored 36 runs from 27 balls while Ruturaj Gaikwad delivered a brisk 49 off 28 balls, helping India reach a total of 182 runs in their 20 overs.
