The Texas Super Kings have enlisted Ottneil Baartman to replace Gerald Coetzee in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 season.

Gerald Coetzee‘s stint with the Texas Super Kings in MLC 2024 lasted only one match before he was forced out for the entire tournament due to injury. 

Ottneil Baartman is one of the finest fast bowlers from South Africa. Although he has limited appearances in T20 matches for South Africa, he has played extensively in various cricket franchises. 

In 6 T20Is, he has taken nine wickets at an economy rate of 5.32. He will bring a lot of value to Texas’ bowling unit. 

Texas Super Kings Campaign in MLC 2024 

The Texas Super Kings have played four matches in the tournament so far, winning one game and losing another. Two matches were abandoned due to bad weather. 

The Texas Super Kings are currently placed second in the points table. They will be facing MI New York in their next MLC 2024 match on July 15.
