English batter Harry Brook has etched his name amongst the greats of Test cricket. The right-hander now has the second-highest batting average in the format’s history, just behind the legendary Don Bradman, for players with over 20 innings.

Brook’s brilliance has been on display throughout his young Test career. Currently starring in the ongoing second Test against West Indies, he slammed a magnificent century, building upon his half-century in the first innings.

The 25-year-old England batting sensation scored 109 runs off 132 balls, laced with 13 boundaries. He joined hands with fellow centurion Joe Root, and put up a 189-run stand for the fourth wicket. 

It was Brook’s fifth century in 14 matches he played. Overall, he has scored 1300 runs at an average of 62.55, which stands as the second-best in Test history. Players like Adam Voges, Graeme Pollock, and George Headley all trail behind Brook’s phenomenal average.
