According to the latest reports, Dinesh Karthik, the former Indian wicket-keeper batter, is set to represent Paarl Royals in the third season of the SA20.
This news comes after Dinesh Karthik was named the joint brand ambassador for the SA20 on Monday. He will work together with AB de Villiers to enhance the global presence of this South African league.
SA20 continues to grow in size and stature, now ranking as the second most popular and competitive T20 league in world cricket, right after the IPL.
Dinesh Karthik – First Indian Batter to Feature in SA20
Dinesh Karthik will be the first Indian player to play in the SA20, following his retirement from the IPL during the 2024 season.
Karthik, who is currently covering The Hundred as a commentator, has played in 401 T20 matches and represented six teams in the IPL, including leading the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Last week, Paarl Royals revealed their retention for the upcoming season, including captain David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, and Andile Phehlukwayo.
