Pakistan will host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series, with the first game set to be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium starting on August 21.

This will be Shan Masood’s first assignment as Pakistan’s Test captain on home soil, but he will have the support of former captain Babar Azam and experienced stars like Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi.

On the other hand, Bangladesh has never won a Test match against Pakistan and will be keen to end this winless streak. They aim to bring some joy to their nation, which is currently facing political turmoil.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium Pitch Report

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is known for its flat wickets, and we can expect a similar surface again. However, as the match progresses, the pitch is likely to deteriorate. Images circulating on social media suggest a green pitch, which should favour the fast bowlers early on, while spinners may come into play in the later stages of the game.

Aa the Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto stated, the toss will be crucial here, and the team that wins it should consider bowling first to make the most of the green pitch conditions, which will benefit the bowlers early on. Over time, the pitch is expected to become less favourable for bowlers.
