The Gorakhpur Lions, under Dhruv Jurel’s captaincy, secured a resounding 91-run win against the Noida Super Kings, kicking off their Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2024 campaign on a high note.

Batting first, the Gorakhpur Lions scored a mammoth 218 runs for the loss of two wickets. Dhruv Jurel was outstanding, smashing 70 off 46 balls, including three boundaries and five sixes.

On the other hand, Aryan Juyal was the top scorer with an unbeaten 104 runs from just 54 balls, including 10 boundaries and five sixes. 

In reply, Nitish Rana’s Super Kings struggled to challenge the Gorakhpur Lions, with only Mohammad Sharim making a significant contribution with 56 runs off 25 balls. 

However, it was insufficient as the Super Kings were dismissed for 127 runs. Shivam Sharma was the standout bowler for the Gorakhpur Lions, claiming three wickets 

Besides Shivam Sharma, Ankit Rajpoot, Saurab Kumar, and Vijay Yadav each took two wickets.
