Pakistan will be hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 in their country from 19 February next year, bringing the first major ICC event to the nation after quite some time. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is sparing no effort in preparing for the major events, ensuring no last-minute flaws remain. They are currently focused on renovating all their stadiums to deliver the best during the tournament. 

Earlier, there were reports that the Indian cricket team is unlikely to travel to Pakistan due to ongoing political tensions between the two nations. There have been discussions about relocating the Champions Trophy or adopting a hybrid model. 

However, according to ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice, no team, including India, has yet made a formal request to relocate the 2025 Champions Trophy from Pakistan. 

Interestingly, India has not played in Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup, and bilateral ties between the two nations have been on hold for years. 

Recently, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla stated that Team India’s travel to Pakistan will depend on the directives from the Indian government.
