1. Rohit Sharma

There have been multiple reports that Lucknow Super Giants are doing everything they can to convince Rohit Sharma to enter the auction. In fact, they are setting aside a significant budget to acquire him at any cost if he decides to participate. LSG is eyeing him as their next captain, as they are unlikely to retain KL Rahul.

2. Suryakumar Yadav

Apart from Rohit Sharma, reports suggest that Lucknow has also reached out to Suryakumar Yadav with a potential deal. In case Rohit doesn’t enter the auction, LSG will shift their focus to Surya, who is reportedly interested in a captaincy role, especially after being appointed as India’s permanent T20I captain. If he joins LSG, he may have the opportunity to lead the team.

3. Faf du Plessis

Former South African captain Faf du Plessis is another name that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Lucknow Super Giants are in need of a captain, and if they fail to secure a top Indian player, they might target Faf for his leadership experience.
