The 9th edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is set to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting October 3, 2024. 

Originally planned for Bangladesh, the tournament was shifted to the UAE. Matches will be held across two venues: the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. A total of 24 matches will be played during the tournament.

Tournament Overview

The tournament will begin on October 3, 2024, with an exciting match between Bangladesh and Scotland at Sharjah. A second match on the same day will feature Pakistan against Sri Lanka.

The event will continue until October 13 for the group stage, followed by semifinals on October 16 and 17. The final will be played on October 20 at Dubai International Stadium.

Group Stage Teams and Format

The teams are divided into two groups:

• Group A: Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka

• Group B: Bangladesh, England, Scotland, South Africa, West Indies

Each team will play four group-stage matches, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals. The final will take place at Dubai International Stadium on October 20.
