The SA20 Auction 2025, held on Tuesday, October 1, saw Pretoria Capitals making strategic moves to fine-tune their squad for the upcoming season in January 2025. 

Smart Spending, Key Signings by Pretoria Capitals

Pretoria Capitals entered the auction with three open player slots, three overseas player spots, and one rookie slot. Their main aim was to add firepower to their batting. 

The team’s standout acquisition was West Indian power-hitter Evin Lewis, secured for R1.5 million, making him one of the most expensive foreign signings in the SA20 2025 season. 

Along with Lewis, the Capitals added local batsman Marques Ackerman for R800K and welcomed rookie Keagan Lion-Cachet into their ranks.
