2. Harry Brook (England) – 310 balls

England’s rising star, Harry Brook, recently became the second-fastest player to score a triple century in Test cricket. He reached this milestone off 310 balls during a match against Pakistan in Multan in 2024. Brook’s innings was laced with 28 boundaries and 3 sixes, and at one point, it seemed as though he might surpass the 400-run mark. However, his brilliant innings ended at 317 off 322 balls. 

3. Wally Hammond (England) – 355 balls

Wally Hammond’s record for the quickest triple-century stood unchallenged for 75 years. The former England batsman reached 300 runs off 355 balls against New Zealand in 1933, a feat that many tried but failed to surpass until 2008. Hammond’s powerful, classical strokeplay was a hallmark of his era, and his triple century is still remembered as one of the finest displays of batsmanship in Test cricket.

4. Matthew Hayden (Australia) – 362 balls

Australian opener Matthew Hayden scored a marathon triple century in 2003, taking 362 balls to achieve the milestone against Zimbabwe in Perth. Hayden went on to score 380, just 20 runs short of the coveted 400-run mark. His innings, filled with powerful shots and precise timing, helped Australia secure a thumping win by an innings and 175 runs.
