The incident occurred during the 18th over of Hobart’s chase of 186, as Tim David was on the charge, leading the Hurricanes toward a commanding victory. After a few deliveries, emotions flared between David and Overton.
The tension reached its peak when Overton, a recent addition to Chennai Super Kings, exchanged words with the explosive Australian all-rounder. However, David didn’t let the altercation affect his focus and responded with bat in hand.
