West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell continues to be one of the busiest cricketers in the T20 circuit. He has been playing in different leagues across the world, including the International League T20 (ILT20) and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Andre Russell’s Recent Form

Russell played for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the ILT20 2024, but his performances were not up to his usual standards. He managed 130 runs in 10 matches at an average of 18.57 and a strike rate of 156.62, with a highest score of 37 not out.

After the ILT20, Russell traveled to Bangladesh to play for Rangpur Riders in the BPL 2025. However, his struggles continued as he failed to make an impact in the Eliminator match against Khulna Tigers, scoring just four runs off nine balls.

Russell Continues with KKR in IPL 2025

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Andre Russell will continue playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The franchise has shown faith in him once again, retaining him for a price of INR 12 crore.

Russell has been a crucial part of KKR for several years. His best season came in IPL 2019, where he scored 510 runs in 14 matches at an average of 56.66 and a strike rate of 204.81. He also smashed 52 sixes, the most in that season. Apart from his batting, he contributed with the ball as well, finishing as KKR’s leading wicket-taker with 11 wickets.

Even though Russell has been inconsistent in recent months, KKR still trusts his match-winning ability. With IPL 2025 approaching, fans will be hoping that he regains his form and delivers another explosive season for Kolkata.
