Pakistan is all set to host a tri-series featuring New Zealand, South Africa, and Pakistan, scheduled to start on February 8, 2025. The opening match will see Pakistan face New Zealand at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This series aims to provide a platform for the three teams to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, which is set to begin on February 19.
Pakistan enters the tri-series on a high note after a 3-0 series whitewash against South Africa in December 2024. Meanwhile, New Zealand comes into the tournament after winning a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka 2-1 on home soil in January 2025.
The tri-series will take place across Karachi and Lahore, with matches being held at Gaddafi Stadium (Lahore) and National Stadium (Karachi). A total of three league matches will be played, with each team facing the other once before the final on February 14 at National Stadium, Karachi.
All teams have announced their squads. Pakistan will be led by Mohammad Rizwan, New Zealand by Mitchell Santner, and South Africa by Temba Bavuma.
