Pakistan’s early exit from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has led to many questions about the team and its management. As the host nation, Pakistan had high hopes, but they became the first team to be eliminated after poor performances against New Zealand and India.

Fans and former players are disappointed. Many cricket experts have talked about the mistakes Pakistan made, but no one has stepped forward to help the team improve. The players are receiving a lot of criticism, but they are not getting the right guidance.

Yograj Singh Wants to Coach Pakistan Team

Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, father of Yuvraj Singh, has spoken openly about Pakistan’s struggles. He did not hold back and criticised Wasim Akram for choosing commentary over coaching. According to Yograj, former Pakistani players should take responsibility and train the team instead of just talking about their failures.

Yograj Singh even offered to coach Pakistan’s national team himself. He believes he can turn things around in just one year. He challenged former players to step up and help Pakistan win the World Cup. If they fail, he said they should resign.

As quoted by News18, Yograj Singh said:

“Wasim is earning money doing commentary. Go back to your country, organise a camp for these players. I want to see which one of you can help Pakistan win the World Cup, and if not, then resign. I will go there, and in one year, I will build a team that you will remember. It’s all about passion. You have to give your blood and sweat for your country.”

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan Face Criticism

Pakistan’s early exit has also put pressure on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Both players are facing criticism for their performances in the tournament.

In the first match against New Zealand, Babar Azam scored a half-century, but his slow batting made things difficult for the team. In the second match against India, captain Mohammad Rizwan tried his best but managed only 46 runs from 77 balls. His slow innings hurt Pakistan’s chances of winning.

Pakistan’s poor performance in the Champions Trophy has left fans frustrated. Now, it remains to be seen whether anyone takes Yograj Singh’s challenge seriously and steps up to help the team.
