Team India is in great form in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After defeating Bangladesh and Pakistan, India has secured a place in the semifinals. The last group-stage match will be against New Zealand on March 2. Since New Zealand has also qualified for the semifinals, this match will decide the top two positions in the group.
Meanwhile, an Indian star cricketer’s interview has caught everyone’s attention. He spoke about his deep devotion to Lord Hanuman.
Hardik Pandya’s Strong Devotion to Hanuman
India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya recently gave an interview to Star Sports. During the conversation, he was asked, “Which song do you listen to the most on your phone?”
Without any hesitation, Hardik replied, “Hanuman Chalisa.”
His answer shows that he is deeply devoted to Lord Hanuman, who is known as the god of strength and wisdom. Interestingly, Hardik’s performances in the tournament also reflect these qualities.
Bowling as a Fast Bowler
Hardik Pandya is a brilliant all-rounder who contributes to the team with both bat and ball. In the Champions Trophy 2025, he is playing the role of a fast bowler and performing well.
Although Mohammed Shami has returned from injury and is taking wickets, fitness concerns still surround him. Because of this, Hardik has taken on the responsibility of a fast bowler.
Performance in the First Two Matches
Hardik did not get much chance to bat in the first two matches. Against Bangladesh, he did not bat but bowled 4 overs for just 20 runs.
Against Pakistan, Hardik bowled 8 overs, conceding only 31 runs and taking 2 wickets. When he came to bat at number 5, he managed to score 8 runs before getting out.
With his growing form and strong devotion to Hanuman, Hardik Pandya is proving to be an important player for India in the Champions Trophy.
