The former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, was spotted recounting his dismissal in the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium to the KKR mentor and former Delhi teammate, Gautam Gambhir.

KKR is set to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the afternoon game on April 21 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. It will be their second meeting in the tournament; earlier, when these two teams faced each other, KKR got the better of RCB.

Apart from that, the game was special because Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were spotted hugging each other, something no one was expecting given their prior relationships and the silent rivalry they have had.

In the ODI World Cup 2023, Australian captain Pat Cummins dismissed Virat Kohli with a spectacular ball, silencing the entire Narendra Modi Stadium crowd, as they later went on to lift the World Cup trophy.

India now has gone more than a decade without the World Cup trophy, as their last World Cup victory came back in 2011 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Both Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were part of the team that year.
