The 35th Match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will witness hosts Delhi Capitals against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The match is scheduled for 20th April at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. 

Throughout this IPL season so far, Delhi Capitals have played seven matches, securing victory in three, whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad has played six matches winning four games.

In their most recent match, Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Titans by six wickets, with Jack Fraser McGurk adding 20 runs to their triumph. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 25 runs, with to excellent batting efforts from Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen, who scored 102 and 67 runs 287 runs.

The last game was a run fest for Sunrisers Hyderabad scoring  287 runs which was recorded as the highest score in an inning. 

Travis Head scored a century while Klassen and Abdul Samad offered a strong finish. Their bowling was still patchy after the opposition fought hard but their batting domination was the best in the tournament. 

Delhi Capitals on the other hand with the help of their varied bowling lineup with the likes of Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav and Ishant Shant Sharma has been commendable in restricting opposition batters.

The surface at Delhi, which was previously noted for being slow and low-scoring, underwent a considerable change before to the 2023 ODI World Cup. These redesigned pitches have become hitting paradises, leading in high-scoring games.
