The 44th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will see Lucknow Super Giants hosting Rajasthan Royals at their home den in Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on April 27, Saturday.

KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock will open the batting for Lucknow Super Giants. Rahul, throughout this season, has kept wickets despite having two regular keepers in his team. De Kock has started quickly in the powerplay but has slowed down a bit post-powerplay, while Rahul has shown signs of improvement in his approach.

Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran will occupy the following spots. Stoinis in the powerplay provides them range against pace, while Pooran at four will get to face a lot of spin, which is where he thrives.

Hooda and Badoni in Finishing Role

Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni will take the job of providing the finishing kick to the innings. Both have their issues against raw fast bowling which may make things difficult for them.

Krunal Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi have been at their absolute best with the ball in hand. Pandya has provided a defensive masterclass just by the way he has bowled, and Bishnoi too has been similar with his line and lengths.

Matt Henry and Mohsin Khan to Spearhead Powerplay Atatck

Matt Henry will take the new ball to exploit the moisture of the surface if there’s any, and he’ll bowl an extended spell in the powerplay too because of his inability to bowl in the latter stages of the innings.

Mohsin Khan will accompany him in the powerplay, and he will also bowl in the death. With his left-arm angle, he will provide his team with variety.

Yash Thakur will play as a middle overs enforcer and death specialist whose job will be to partner the spinners in the middle overs. In the middle overs, he will be expected to be conservative with his economy.
