Mumbai Indians’ wicket-keeper batter, Ishan Kishan has been reprimanded and fined 10% of his match fee for violating the IPL’s Code of Conduct during their recent IPL 2024 match against the Delhi Capitals on Saturday.

The IPL’s statement confirmed the offence was a Level 1 breach under Article 2.2, but didn’t specify Kishan’s exact action.

“Kishan committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” IPL said in a statement.

Article 2.2 covers any behavior outside the ordinary scope of cricket, including hitting or kicking the wickets, and any action resulting in damage to advertising boards, boundary fences, dressing room doors, mirrors, windows, and other fixtures, whether deliberate, reckless, or negligent.

Ishan Kishan admitted to the offense and accepted the Match Referee’s decision, which is final for Level 1 breaches.
