Lucknow Super Giants might have fallen short against the Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, but it was their evergreen fielding coach Jonty Rhodes who turned back the clock and became the talk of the town.
While LSG couldn’t defend their total of 197, Rhodes reminded everyone why he was a fielding legend with a spectacular boundary catch.
The South African great, known for his superhuman fielding during his playing days, displayed a glimpse of his brilliance even at this stage of his career. In the 16th over of the Royals’ chase, Sanju Samson launched a six off Ravi Bishnoi.
As the ball sailed over the boundary, Jonty Rhodes, who was standing beyond the boundary line, grabbed a spectacular catch, and the entire Ekana Stadium stood to appreciate the legend.
