Currently serving as the batting coach for Gujarat Titans at the marquee event, Gary Kirsten’s virtual guidance of Pakistan players didn’t sit well with many fans, leading to criticism aimed at both the management and the new coach.

The Pakistan cricketers were spotted attentively listening to Gary Kirsten during the virtual meeting. However, during the session, Harish Rauf was spotted sleeping, which a fan pointed out in the comment section.

Availability of Gary Kirsten

While Kirsten is away in India for IPL 2024, Pakistan’s former Test all-rounder Azhar Mahmood is expected to lead the team during its tour of Ireland and England this month, until Kirsten officially takes over, PTI reported.

According to a PCB official, if Gujarat Titans don’t make it to the IPL playoffs, Kirsten will be available from the start of the T20 series against England.
