The Afghanistan batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz is all set to rejoin the Kolkata Knight Riders. Gurbaz went back to Afghanistan to check on his sick mother, who is now in a better condition.

The Kolkata Knight Riders are currently sitting at the top of the points table after winning eight games out of the 11 matches they have played so far in the tournament.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is yet to play for KKR in the ongoing season as he usually opens the innings for the team, a spot that has already been acquired by Philip Salt and Sunil Narine, who have already proved their mettle.

Gurbaz provided the update via his Twitter account. Here is what he wrote:
