‘Would Have Scored 300' - Sachin Tendulkar's Bold Remarks on Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) suffered an embarrassing 10-wicket defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad as Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma demolished their bowling attack, reaching the target in under 10 overs and moving up to third place in the points table.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, LSG captain KL Rahul saw his team post 165/4 on the board, despite a strong effort from Ayush Badoni (55*) and an unbeaten 48 by Nicholas Pooran in the death overs. Captain KL Rahul played a horrendous knock of 29 runs from 33 balls.

In their reply, SRH openers Travis Head (89) and Abhishek Sharma (75) stormed ahead, setting a new record with an unbroken partnership of 167 runs in just 9.4 overs, sealing a comprehensive 10-wicket win with 62 balls remaining.

Upon witnessing this batting masterclass, even the legendary Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t contain his emotions, stating that had these two batted first, they could have reached a total of 300+.

“A destructive opening partnership would be an understatement tonight. Had these boys batted first, they would’ve scored 300! 🤯,” Sachin Tendulkar wrote on X.

With this victory, SRH now have 14 points from 12 matches. On the other hand, LSG have dropped to sixth position in the points table with a huge blow to their net run rate.
