Australia fast bowler Spencer Johnson will miss the upcoming T20I series against Scotland and England in the UK due to a side injury he sustained while representing The Oval Invincibles in The Hundred.
Sean Abbott has been called up by Cricket Australia to replace the injured pacer. He was initially part of the squad for the five-match ODI series against England but now he will feature in the T20I series as well.
Johnson managed only two wickets in six games during The Hundred, but he did produce a standout performance with figures of 1/10 in his 20 balls against the Northern Superchargers recently.
Sean Abbott leads the BBL in wicket-taking with a record 165 and has also made his mark in The Hundred, claiming nine wickets in seven games for Birmingham Phoenix.
