The Delhi Capitals rewrote their record books on Saturday, putting up their highest-ever total in IPL history during their match against the Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday, April 27.

The previous best for the Delhi franchise, then known as the Delhi Daredevils, stood at 231/4 against Kings XI Punjab back in 2011. However, this time around, DC surpassed that mark by a significant margin, reaching a staggering total of 257/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

The innings were kickstarted by a blistering knock from Jake Fraser-McGurk, who smashed a quickfire 84 runs off just 27 balls at the top of the order. Solid contributions from Shai Hope (41 off 17) and Tristan Stubbs (unbeaten 48 off 25) in the later stages saw Delhi Capitals piling up a mammoth total.

Delhi Capitals’ Highest Totals in IPL History:

  • 257/4 vs Mumbai Indians (2024)
  • 231/4 vs Kings XI Punjab (2011)
  • 228/4 vs Kolkata Knight Riders (2020)
