The 45th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will witness Gujarat Titans hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru at their home den in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on April 28, Sunday.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru now finally looks settled with their combination; they are now playing against Gujarat, a team with several structural issues.

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis will open the batting for Bengaluru. Both are capable enough of taking down the pace bowlers in the powerplay, but they may struggle if Gujarat brings spinners to counter them.

Jacks and Patidar: Vital Cogs at 3 and 4

Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar will occupy the numbers 3 and 4 respectively. Jacks is at ease against pacers, and in case a wicket falls early in the powerplay, he is capable enough of adding value with his hitting.

Patidar’s gameplay will be crucial for his side because of the insane spin-hitting skills he brings to the table.

Cameron Green is now back into the side. Apart from being a muscular hitter, he will take up the job of the 5th bowler too, which will allow Bengaluru to play all-rounder Swapnil Singh.

Karthik and Lomror: Bengaluru’s Dynamic Duo for Finishing Flourish

Dinesh Karthik and Mahipal Lomror will again provide the finishing kick to Bengaluru’s innings. Karthik has been in great touch throughout the season, while Lomror’s superb skill in handling spin will make it a dynamic lower order for Bengaluru.

A bowling trio of Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, and Lockie Ferguson covers up a lot of bases for them, but they have lacked execution of the plans. Siraj and Dayal have executed their plans with great perfection, and if Ferguson does that, Bengaluru will have a potent lineup.

Karn Sharma will be the sole spinner of the team. After his comeback, he has shown enough evidence of being in great touch. If he continues to perform his role, that would make things easy for the Bengaluru skipper.
