Amidst concerns about the severity of the injury and its impact on CSK, Chahar’s sister, Malti Chahar, has taken a strong stance against insensitive remarks directed towards the fast bowler.

Chahar sustained a hamstring injury while bowling his first over against Punjab Kings, forcing him to leave the field. In a message posted on Twitter, Malti Chahar addressed the online negativity surrounding her brother’s injury.

Deepak Chahar’s performance in IPL 2024 has been lackluster, with just 5 wickets from 8 matches and an economy rate of 8.59. His best figures of 2/28 against the Gujarat Titans in March at the Chepauk are a far cry from his previous form.
