This comes amid Glenn Maxwell’s poor performance in the ongoing IPL 2024 season, where he has only managed to score 36 runs in the eight matches he has played for RCB so far.
Contrary to this, in the past three seasons starting from 2021, he was the backbone of RCB. He scored 513 runs in the 2021 season, followed by 300 runs in 2022, and in the IPL 2023 season, he scored a total of 400 runs, all at a staggering strike rate.
Referring to him as the most overrated player in IPL history sparked backlash from fans, who criticized Parthiv Patel on social media for his comments about Glenn Maxwell.
