Irfan Pathan, a long-time critic of Dhoni’s late-order batting, stated that the veteran should take responsibility and come to bat a bit early.

“Where is MS Dhoni? He should take responsibility in the batting department. He is in form and there is no point to hold himself back,” he stated during commentary.

Irfan Pathan suggested that Dhoni batting even as late as the 16th over would be beneficial, considering his experience and the team’s need for him during crucial moments.
