Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 56th match of the ongoing IPL 2024. This match will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on 8th May, Wednesday.

Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their last match to MI by 7 wickets, currently standing 4th on the points table with 6 wins from 11 matches.

Lucknow Super Giants lost their last match to KKR by 98 runs, and they are currently 5th on the points table with 6 wins from 11 matches.

Jaydev Unadkat Likely to Return:

SRH will bring back Unadkat in the XI, as his performance in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has been impressive this year.

He could replace Mayank Agarwal or play as an impact player.

Fazalhaq Farooqi to Replace Marco Jansen:

Marco Jansen was brought into the XI for Aiden Markram, but his performance has been poor, especially with the ball. SRH will look to replace him with Farooqi, who has a better economy rate than Jansen.

Glenn Phillips is another option that SRH has to replace Jansen, but having him in the XI means SRH will be one bowler short.

SRH Needs to Find a Way to Play Mayank Markande:

SRH have lacked a quality spinner in their XI. Shahbaz Ahmed is not a big turner of the ball, nor does Abhishek Sharma give you 4 overs, and Washinton Sundar was a failure in the given opportunities.

Elsewhere, Mayank Markande has taken 8 wickets for SRH this season. He is a leg spinner and a genuine wicket-taker. SRH will need to find a way to play him; one of Shahbaz Ahmed or Abdul Samad could be dropped for Markande.
