Mohammad Amir

Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir has not been granted a visa for Ireland, despite extensive efforts by the Pakistan Cricket Board. This means that the Pakistan cricket team will have to play the three-match T20I series against Ireland without Mohammad Amir.

The complication arose when Amir’s visa application was initially rejected by the Irish Embassy, despite the smooth processing of visas for other cricketers and officials involved in the tour.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not shared details about why Amir’s visa was rejected. However, they are currently working to resolve the issue by reapplying for his visa with the cooperation of the Ireland Cricket Board.

There are reports indicating that Mohammad Amir may join the team directly in England instead of Ireland, although a final decision is pending and expected within the next few days.
