IPL 2024: Keshav Maharaj To Play for Rajasthan Royals

In the latest turn of events, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) have named Keshav Maharaj, the South African spinner, as a replacement for the injured Prasidh Krishna for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.

Notably, Keshav Maharaj has been in India since last week and has been training alongside the Lucknow Super Giants, the sister franchise of Durban Super Giants, whom Keshav Maharaj captains in SA20.

Keshav Maharaj has limited experience in T20 matches, having played 27 T20 matches for South Africa, where he has picked up 24 wickets at an economy rate of 7.39. He has never made an appearance in the IPL, so this will be his first time playing in the league.

After missing the last IPL season, Prasidh Krishna has once again been ruled out of the entire IPL 2024 season due to injury.
